‘A Haunted House’ Poster Spoofs ‘The Devil Inside’

In theaters January 11 from Open Road Films is Michael Tiddes’ A Haunted House, co-written by and starring Marlon Wayans. Also starring Cedric The Entertainer, David Koechner, Nick Swardson and Essence Atkins, below we’ve added the latest poster that spoofs Paramount’s The Devil Inside. I suspect a series of hilarious one-sheets are on the horizon!

In the Wayans family tradition of successful movies like Scary Movie 1 & 2, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, and, most recently, Dance Flick, Marlon Wayans co-wrote the script for A Haunted House, along with Rick Alvarez, who has produced several Wayans family movies.

In an outrageous send up of the Paranormal Activity movies, The Devil Inside and other “found footage” movies, A Haunted House features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins) who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted, it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghostbusters to rid her of this unwelcome intruder, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his relationship… or, more importantly, his sex life.

  • I don’t know what’s gonna be worse. The Devil Inside or A Haunted House? The former was already one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

Hopefully A Haunted House doesn’t show all the good things in the trailer like The Devil Inside did

I actually don’t know I haven’t seen I heard it did, but I see what you did there.

Sorry, but the red band trailer really killed my desire to watch this film. I might give it a chance, but that red band trailer was beyond awful.

Oh, and far as the which film is going to be worse comparisons between The Devil Inside and A Haunted House goes, I’ll still give the slight edge to A Haunted House for having a chance to be the better film, because I honestly can’t imagine ANYTHING being worse than The Devil Inside. Ugh, that ending, one of the worst, if not the worst ending I’ve ever seen for any horror film. Yes, it’s that bad.
