‘The American Scream’ Gets Crazy Early Home Video Release Online Only

Magic Stone Productions and Brainstorm Media are pleased to announce that their feature length documentary, The American Scream (read the review), is now available on Blu-ray and DVD exclusively at theamericanscreammovie.com. The American Scream is the latest documentary from director Michael Paul Stephenson, following his critically acclaimed featured documentary, Best Worst Movie.

“The American Scream is a touching documentary that follows three Halloween-obsessed households as they transform their homes into neighbor-terrifying supernatural wonderlands. Endless styrofoam tombstones and backyard beasts come courtesy of a few supremely dedicated local “home haunters” who’ve devoted their lives to the art of handmade monster making.”

The film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas in September 2012 where it won the award for Best Picture in the Documentary Features category and received rave reviews.

Magic Stone is releasing this heartwarming documentary as a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack in time for the holiday season. Priced at $17.99 this exclusive offer of the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack will be available for purchase exclusively at theamericanscreammovie.com and includes a follow-up featurette. The American Scream on DVD will not be available at retailers until Fall 2013.

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
