Lionsgate’s Texas Chainsaw 3D picks up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. And now we have a few new looks at lead Alexandra Daddario doing some bloody investigating and taking up arms.

In theaters January 4, 2013, the slasher is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star. It’s been rated “R” by the MPAA for “strong, grisly violence and language throughout.

“Texas Chainsaw 3D picks up decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre seen in Tobe Hooper’s ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.’ In it, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion’s dank cellars.

She looks just as crazy in some of those pics as the other members of the Sawyer family…As predictable as the “final girl” turning into the villain has become, it’s still not as cliché as her being the lone survivor. I hope for a fun ride.

HOLY FUCK, Now you got me thinking ahhaha

WalkingDeadGuy, i hadnt’ thought of that (her character being a villain/crazy at the end) but you may be on to something!!

even when bloody/scared/dirty/etc Alexandra STILL looks stunningly gorgoeus!

djblack1313 yea, TCM has always focussed on the family angle, and so I figured since the character of Heather is related to the Sawyer family, there would be some twist. I may be wrong of course, but these pictures look very suspicious.

you have a good eye!! yeah, the more i look at the blue tinted pic, she really DOES look crazed/crazy!! i’m really looking forward to the carnival scene and i hope the movie has a good, decent length chase scene (like Helen in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER)!!! horror movies hardly ever seem to give us good chase scenes anymore (like Wendy’s in the original PROM NIGHT!).

Totally, I always like a good chase scene; Helen’s scene in IKWYDLS was very reminiscent of Lori Strode’s in Halloween… with a different outcome of course. Heh.

I always prefer films that don’t have a giant body count. I like films that focus on character development and make the viewer believe that the character might survive during a long scene, similar to that of Helens or Casey in Scream.
