The Second Coming Of Evil Exorcised In ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’ Trailer Premiere!

CBS Films will have you bending over backward for The Last Exorcism Part II with the first official trailer that takes you behind the second “last” exorcism. Will the sequel finally get all of Him out? We’ve also updated the article with an insane new image.

In theaters March 1 from director Ed Gass-Donnelly, the sequel continues where the first film left off, “Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found alone and terrified in the woods. Back in the relative safety of civilization, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean herlast exorcism was just the beginning.

Saw this trailer ahead of Texas Chainsaw last week… Definitely a very generic trailer, bland, and almost useless. The only thing it did for me is confirm that it’s not found-footage and gave a basic plot description. I didn’t get much in terms of the tone of the film. That said I still want to see it, I’ve said before I think I’m one of a few that really liked the first one but I doubt this will be very good.

I liked the first one too. And i will also being seeing the sequel. Looking forward to seeing you as the only other person in the theatre. ^^

Dammit! Why’d they drop :Electric Boogaloo from the title???

    • lovezoid

    • evenscarier

  • ryethegodgamer

  • Evan3

Wow… That looks awful. The Last Exorcism Part 2 – When Shadows Attack

  • lovezoid

I find the title of this film really funny.

  • Money Grab…… lol

  • HorrorManiac666

I think I’ll skip this film maybe check out when it hits redbox or netflix

    • evenscarier

That sounds like a good strategy to me.

  • That looks so so so much better than the first one which I absolutely HATED. Count me in.

  • WalkingDeadGuy

I didn’t mind the trailer. I’m interested to see where they take this story.

  • bambi_lives8980

I’d rather go to a Miley Cyrus concert, or get food poisoning than see this.

  • I am REALLY digging this trailer! I’m happy they ditched the found footage and the shots look gorgeous and atmospheric, hopefully it will be scary/good… Though before i see it i guess i should see the first one. Also this image should be used as a poster, it’s SO much better than the official one.

  • Damnit! I was hoping that this would be good even though it’s not found footage and it’s a basic horror movie now. I’m worried.

  • CraftyChicka

The first one was so bad it was annoying, and the ending was more…wtf than movie saving. Maybe eli can save it, but its a redbox (using a free code) kind of movie.

My god, Exorcism/Possessed movies have been done to death. They are going to take Paranormal Activity into oblivion, and always try and create NEXT Exorcist with this shit and it will never happen again, unless an Exorcist remake is in the works. It is just getting so old and I am sick of it all. Next is “Paranormal Activity 10: The Possessed Tampon”.

WHY BD? Why did you guys have to post this???? Two good trailers today (can’t wait to watch Girls Against Boys!), but you just had to post this!lol. Part One was AVERAGE at best. Yes, I enjoyed the cliff-hanger and the suspenseful finale, but everything before that almost put me to sleep. I hate to sound so cynical, but I hope this bombs at the box office, because this could develop into a three or four film series. ugh.

Also, I’m the only one, who’s tired of the convulsing and contorted back-breaking stuff in Exorcism movies?

  • I liked the first one because of what it tried to achieve in the final reel, even if it didn’t save the movie from it’s own gimmick. This one, though, just looks like a cash grab because the way the last one ended it seemed that all was pretty much over.

I did not like the first film. This trailer shows that they waaaay over did this sequel. How many people were possessed in just this trailer? Sometimes less is more

  • DarrelDreadful

I already can tell I would appreciate the first one a lot more just as a stand alone film. Adding a sequel will only raise questions, like if the ending to the first isn’t explained its going to make the point of it all confusing. The look of this reminds me of The Haunting of Molly Hartley. Nothing was scary, just gimmicky.

  • The only things have have been even remotely interesting about these “films” are the promotional material; that poster is slick, and does a good job of raising a few eyebrows. Everything else about it needs to go away, ASAP.

  • Ravinus

I want these demonic possession movies to be good and they never are.

  • sadiesaidhorror

I like the first one a little less each time I watch it. Great movie poster though, even if the gravity doesn’t make sense.

  • Bhuntinhumanz

What a horrible looking sequel to an already horrible film. Pass

  • ThunderDragoon

Can’t be worse than the first one. I’ll watch it. It has to be at least decent.

  • gerantgerant

Thought the first was a blast. Fantastic performances and overall atmosphere for the win. LOVE the idea of moving into movie mode, especially showing shots from the original via the laptop. Also great to see Ashley back! – Count me in.
