[Random Cool] ‘V/H/S’ Gets The Infamous Movie Bar Treatment!

My brother just e-mailed me over a link to a website called Movie Bar Code, which carries one simple premise: they take every single frame from a movie, compress it into a single line, and then line them up next to each other so you get a bar code.

Added just the other day was a barcode for V/H/S, made me insanely excited. It’s super cool, in my opinion at least, so I wanted to share it with you guys. (I love how you can plainly see the Skype portion.)

In addition, this is a great time to let you know that V/H/S is now available on Netflix Instant, as well as DVD, Blu-ray, and various VOD platforms. Thanks again for all of your support!

That’s so cool. I watched the movie the other day and damn, it’s so fucking awesome. I loved it so much.

Is VHS really good? Because everyone here on BD says it’s great, but every other website says it’s fucking terrible… what’s the deal on this.

Gotta agree with Se_7_en – it was a chore to watch. There were a few cool moments here and there, but overall it was immensely boring and annoying. The person I was watching it with bailed before the 10 minute mark but I finished it. Now I think they’re a lot smarter than I am.

@Grime It has good reviews on most other horror sites. And it’s gotten decent reviews (and some negative ones too) from mainstream outlets. I happen to really like it, but it’s not for everyone.

It isn’t at all terrible. It’s a first time affair, and a decent debut if you ask me. I’m very happy that BD is growing more and more. @Se_7_eN should tell it to Ti West’s face: “Your segment is FUCKING TERRIBLE”. I know, he can’t. Because Ti West’s segment is awesome.

I really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it was great. It has some really cool moments. But, it’s definitely not terrible.

It is a decent take on the found footage genre, and switches it up with the multiple stories. I just like the nostalgia of seeing a generic VHS blue screen.

The movie was lacking. The acting was sub-par, the stories were mostly dull, the reasoning for the first person view was stretching it.

This was definitely no Trick r Treat

I liked it. The anthology spin was something I wasn’t expecting, and I really like anthologies so that was a nice surprise.

LOVE this! Hadn’t heard of the Movie Bar Code site until now. Can’t wait to bring my movie nerdom to a new level, thank you :)
