Based on an idea by Krantz, “Dracula” is set in the 1890s and has been described as “Dangerous Liaisons” meets “The Tudors”.

The NBC/Sky Living series, “Centers on Dracula (Meyers), who arrives in London posing as American entrepreneur Allen Grayson, who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier, but he falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife. De Gouw will play that woman, Mina Murray, a striking medical student who is engaged to Jonathan Harker but upon meeting Grayson both are instantly mesmerized by the other’s uncanny resemblance to someone from their past.

this will only last about 4 eps before it’s canceled. i will never trust another show on NBC. they do not know what they are doing and cancel any and all good shows prematurely. fool me once…

They are using the whole “fell in love with someone who is the reincarnation of his previous love” angle.
    Yawn – how original.
It’s going to be yet another “love story” version of Dracula. Makes you wonder if the people making these damn things have ever actually “read” the book. Dracula is NOT a damn love story.
