‘Warm Bodies’ Goes The Propaganda Route With New Poster!

Summit Entertainment has just released a new poster for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and 50/50 director Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies. I really like the unique tone to all the materials we’ve seen thus far (check out Part One of my Set Visit here) and this one sheet is no exception. Its use of propaganda iconography is nicely in step with the theme of the film.

In theaters February 1, “Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich and Analeigh Tipton all star. Head inside for the poster!

    GREAT poster!

Ughhhhhh, this movie should receive a Valentine’s Day release. From the looks of the trailer, Warm Bodies would be the PERFECT Valentine’s Day film, NOT Die Hard 5. lol.

Hear hear. I can’t shake off the Twilight comparison by other people though. They’re like, everywhere!

awesome poster! i talked to my friend in Florid and he said they are promoting the hell out of this movie. constant tv spots, etc. where i live on the West coast i’ve seen no tv spots nothing. i thought this would have been an R rating but it’s PG-13 (i’m not automatically writting it off). the movie still looks pretty good but i might wait for dvd/br.

At least one could argue that there are romantic undertones with vampire and werewolf lore. But, zombies? WTF?! This has got to be the dumbest shit. And, PG-13 too?

I agree. Who the hell is the target audience for this movie? It looks lame as a horror movie AND as a Twilight-style tween romance, which cuts out both of the biggest demographic groups that are most likely to see it. What a horrible idea.

I’m the biggest zombie fan in the world but I also hate Twilight with every fiber of my being. I just get too much of a Twilight vibe from the trailer. So I’m really torn on whether I’ll be watching Warm Bodies.

The poster is pretty cool I will admit.
