[Unconfirmed] Hear 10 Minutes Of Roque Baños’ Score From ‘Evil Dead’
Update: Sony has removed the clip from YouTube.
YouTube user DarkIslandFilms, who posts music from television, video games, and films, has uploaded a 10+ minute track that it claims is music from the upcoming Fede Alvarez-directed Evil Dead. If true, the music, which is composed by Roque Baños, is pretty incredible. It’s thrilling, bombastic at points while subtle at others, and the use of choir is brilliantly executed, sounding almost like an army of Deadites is chasing after you. Give it a listen below.
DarkIslandFilms is also saying that an April release for the score is possible.
In the much anticipated remake of Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult-hit horror film, “Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”

OH MY GOD!!! THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can definitely see this fitting a much darker and more horrific Evil Dead! Everything I am hearing about this film is making me so incredibly excited about it! If this is the actual score for the film then consider me sold!
I WANT TO LISTEN TO THIS!!!!!! but i’m very affected by music when i watch a movie and i want to hear it fresh when i see the movie. Corbin i believe what you said about it!! i can’t wait!
Very nice! I love how dark and powerful it is! Only complaint I have is that a few minutes in the choir felt like FINDING NEMO (“Sharkbait ooh-ha-ha”) haha.

I had the pleasure of listening to this dark composition. I haven’t felt this eager to see a movie since…. Shit!!! Never. I cannot wait til April.

wow….. really good~!! It does have a very Joseph LoDuca sound to it….. I can see the similarities but not enough to be a copycat in any way.
