Here’s The First Official Trailer For ‘The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct’

TWD

The unveiling of Terminal Reality’s take on the Walking Dead franchise has been a tumultuous one. It started with a fan-made trailer that had ugly footage from an early build of the game, but Activision only made matters worse with that laughable “official” trailer that did nothing to remedy the situation. It took a while, but they’re finally taking a step in the right direction with a real, polished trailer that shows current gameplay and teases some of the story. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it a particularly memorable trailer, but I’ll let you watch it so you can decide for yourself.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct launches on March 19th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, followed by the Wii U on March 26th.

    Hopefully the game is good.

For a spin-off game, the production values are actually pretty good. Doesn’t look like they were given 4-5 years to polish it into a masterpiece, but the character models and camera work look pretty good. My only complaints are the zombie and environments being kinda low-quality, but a lot of that could be credited to the multi-platform development. I wouldn’t pay $60 for it, but I might try it out..

Looks pretty good. Most of us had our doubts with Telltale making a WD series, and look how good that turned out. I’ll give it a chance

The production values are not pretty good, nor is it impressive. Watch again. The car that shows up is animation equivelant of 2003, or around when HALO first came out. Infact, the warthogs moved a whole lot better than that. The walkers animation is dodgy as well, watch when they’re going by the car, one literally rotates on the spot. Textures are bland and muddy. Obviously a rushed effort to get it out in time for this season. I’ll try it, but it’s not a good first impression…

Looks okay. I can’t boast about the zombie-work though.

Seeing the official trailer, I’m a little more excited but not so much where I’ll buy it the day it comes out.

I think I may be in the same boat as you (DON’T YOU DARE ROCK IT, I GET SEA SICK EASILY). It doesn’t look bad, but it hasn’t done anything to warrant a day one purchase for me. However, there is a rumor it will be released at a discounted price, but I’m waiting on confirmation before I post about that.

    It still looks absolutely horrible.
