New ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’ Poster Teases House Of Terror

I haven’t been a huge fan of the art released thus far for CBS Films’ The Last Exorcism Part II, their sequel to the found-footage horror opening in theaters March 1.

The new graphic poster, revealed by MTV, comes from artist Rich Knepprath and was created in anticipation of the new horror movie from producer Eli Roth. It taps into the 1970’s vibe of the film, which stars Ashley Bell as Nell Sweetzer, who managed to survive the demonic encounter from the original found footage film.

Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found alone and terrified in the woods. Back in the relative safety of civilization, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean herlast exorcism was just the beginning.

  • No matter how eerie that poster looks, I can’t not get the nasty bile that rose in my throat after the first abomination of a film. I will be waiting for this one on Netflix, (or until reviews solidify how weak it is, whichever comes first), before I even give this film a chance.

So will they re-release the original under the title The Second Last Exorcism?

Here, I posted this on an older article but I was too little too late! Maybe this will help to explain this “last exorcism” phenomenon:

See, there are many exorcists out there and the first film was that guys “last exorcism” now it’s somebody else’s turn. We will spend the next several years witnessing the last exorcisms of exorcists all over the globe. As a matter a fact it shouldn’t be long before the inner space exorcisms come to an end, so we will see the last space exorcism as well. I mean , there is just so much we NEED to see like, say, Pope Benedict’s last shot at exorcism (obviously that’s why he resigned, that damn Abalam!).
If you like i will keep going (we haven’t gotten to the fully Khoisan exorcism yet, that’s a fun one)

That poster is pretty fantastic! It actually looks like a style that Friedkin would have used for THE EXORCIST. Simple yet frightening and oddly classy!

I love Satanic Panic films, but the trailer look horrible.

I really like the poster. Even though I hated the first one, this actually looks like it could be a good movie.
