Check Out the French Trailer For Our Creature Feature ‘Under the Bed’

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting reader Fabien Monnier for tipping me off to the following French trailer for Under the Bed, a kiddie creature feature that will be coming released this summer here in the States through Xlrator.

The trailer absolutely cracked me up as it shows the film will be called Scary in France – so I can only assume they don’t have beds out there? The trailer is texted in French, although there’s no actual dialogue. It’s weird, but at least you’ll get a taste of what we accomplished with director Steven C. Miller (Silent Night). It stars Jonny Weston, Gattlin Griffith, Peter Holden, Musetta Vander and Kelcie Stranahan.

Every child knows about the monster under the bed—Neal Hausman’s mistake was trying to fight it. Neal has returned from a two-year exile following his tragic attempt to defeat the monster, only to find his father ticking ever closer to a breakdown, a new stepmother who fears him, and his little brother Paul, terrorized by the same monster. While Neal and Paul work together to try and fight the nocturnal menace, their parents are taking desperate measures to get the family back to normal. With no support from their parents, the brothers have nothing to rely on but each other, and courage beyond belief.

    Oh it’s a kids movie?
    I like hard r adult horror…

  • Kroork

The trailer doesn’t seem that kiddie to me though…. Guess will just have to check it out

    this looks promising!!

  • dirtyghettok

I enjoyed the last Holes movie labeled kiddie, so I’ll give this one a chance. Think I saw a guy about to swing with a chainsaw, so worst comes to worst I’ll skip ahead to that part.

I used to love these types of movies growing up… the trailer has a feeling of nostalgia for me… i will defiantly checking out.

Seeing genre films made for kids is an amazing thing! While we had a few animated genre films this year, it’s still happening enough. Just because you prefer “hard r adult horror” doesn’t mean that movies shouldn’t be made for OTHER people! It’s kind of like adults bitching about a teen movie being too much of a teen movie, shit wasn’t made for you!
    This does look pretty good!

      Good point.

Thank you bro for saying that.. Agree with every word man.

Looked okay to me. Worth a shot. Maybe it wont be the greatest move ever but long as it’s got a good story. Reminds me of a old horror movie cant think of the details thinking early 90’s late 80’s.

@Laugh Riot… you may be thinking of “Little Monsters” with Fred Savage and Howie Mandell…. same idea… monsters live under the bed… light destroys them.. Kevin Arnold CAN be in movies!!! that movie was a staple flick in my childhood… really good!! blended horror, fantasy, and all that stuff in a nice package for kids.. the scariest part being him seeing a clip from the original The Fly hahaha

“Shake the camera!” “SHAKE THE CAMERA!!!”

Sindel! 😀 This looks cool. That creature looked great. Could be a really good movie.

  • TheManInBlack

Silent Night was a ton of fun, so I’ll be checking this out.

  • strangecreture

It is not going to be a “kiddie” movie, i just looked it up on IMDB and its rated R for violence

  • MinaDoll7

This actually looks pretty terrifying for me, just a terribly made trailer.
