Rob Zombie Releases Music Video For “Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown”

Shock rocker/director Rob Zombie has released an official music video for his latest single “Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown”, which comes from the upcoming album Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (out April 19th). The black and white video features several strange characters that are completely in place with a Zombie video. Oh, and as you probably (and correctly) guessed, Sheri Moon Zombie is featured prominently. You can watch the video below.

I love Rob Zombie – I agree with him 80% at the times, I love his films-weak or not-and most of his music. I even have el superbeasto. However, this video departs from what I am used to see. Sure he hasn’t made a decent video for years – where is the awesome clockwork orange vibe of “Never gonna stop”? Or the awesomeness of “feel so numb” or “living dead girl” silent movie tribute? Nowdays it is just him perform the lyrics – nothing artistic in it. And despite my love for SMZ, stop including her everywhere! It is getting overkill! Still I love this track! Old school Zombie!

This is great! I wonder if he directed it or not.

      Every other track is great!

Imo, this is the weakest song on his new album. I didn’t hold any hope in Rat Vendor being any good, and long felt the Rob was irrelevant today. This whole album is sweet, though. If there’s one of his solo albums that harkens back to the days of White Zombie, it’s this one, and definitely on par with the original Hellbilly.

Plus John 5 and Ginger Fish thrown into the mix makes this album a blast. Look at John 5 in the video, looking swank 🙂 I love that guy.

Where did you hear the album already?

It’s out there on the web

This album is harder than his last few. It still has some filler and formulated songs but the second half has some good shit. Zombie needs to lose john 5 though, his playing and riffs are just so generic and stock.

    What’s with the chihuahua?

This track is my least favorite on a REALLY great album. Zombie’s best solo outing by far. Don’t be put off by this track, the rest is HEAVY.

Hmm… maybe it’s just me, but I really dig this song. It has a mid-80s-sorta-punk thing going with the spoken lyrics, and it sounds like it was a blast to produce. Watching the video, you can tell that he is having a blast with the song and the video, and that’s what I like… Sure the other tracks are an awesome evolution to what we have come to know of White/Rob Zombie, but this one is FUN! The video is FUN! I’m having fun talking about how fun it was. Now… on to look for more “Lords of Salem” stuff…
