Okay, fine, we don’t actually know really anything about inSANE, what it’s about, or if it’s even still in development.

There are two reasons why I refuse to give up hope. First off, it’s a horror game from the wonderful mind of Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth). Secondly, it’s inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. There aren’t enough horror games that take from the gold mine of twisted terror that only Lovecraft could deliver. If this ever sees the light of day and has a solid developer behind it, I have total faith that Del Toro and friends will deliver a memorable horror game.

InSANE’s live-action trailer was mildly unsettling, but not quite as unnerving as this little indie horror gem:

i wish some of these games would come to consoles like Amnesia. i don’t play game on my computer. that may just change though because i am really curious about Outlast and Asylum. i hope you haven’t forgotten about that second one, adam. http://www.facethehorror.com/

I agree – I don’t play games on the computer (if I did I would never get any work done). Consoles need to get more horror on them !!

  • DethHand

I’ve been checking out news on these games and I have to say I’m excited. I’ve been waiting for a game to come along and really freak me out (like the very first Resident Evil game), and it seems like these new titles may deliver. Can’t wait!

Man – These look great. I am probably in the minority here but I really wish someone would make a “Cold Fear 2″. Way under rated …

    • Adam Dodd

I agree 100% – I LOVED Cold Fear, even if it wasn’t the most original horror game, it was a ton of fun and genuinely scary at times. That scene where the creatures burst out of the whale carcass will haunt me forever.

  • ThunderDragoon

I’m really excited for The Evil Within. I’ll end up playing every game on this list, though. :D

New Amnesia New Amnesia woot woot

I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Outlast looks insane! ME wants this now!!!!!!

  • GothicGuido

I’m most looking forward to The Evil Within (and insane if it ever comes out) The evil Within has the potential to ressurect the genre. I have nothing against adventure horror on the PC but its kind of the country music of survival horror. Its not impacting the rest of gaming but I wish they would put some of these games on Xbla/psn. They have all played pretty similar but with something like daylight I think that is about to change (: Either way its looking like the best year for survival horror in almost a decade.

We were lucky enough to get an interview with the producer of Dreadout, and from what he mentioned, the final product is going to be some really, really pants-wetting scary stuff. Check it out here:

Great ghost game for mobile! Creepy fun, wicked good audio. Do NOT play it alone in the dark…. http://ghostpatrolgame.com

Ugg.. I really wish the Walking dead / Game of thrones would hurry up and stop being a thing….

    • Mitch

The walking dead comics early on and the game were both very good. The show sucked from episode 1.

I loved the first season of Walking Dead. The second was good but extremely slow, a lot of the episodes felt like filler. But in the end, it was a good season. Season 3 was OK, a few good juicy moments, but nothing that amazing. Haven’t bothered with season 4 and doubt I’ll bother with season 5. The show has lost it’s appeal for me. I don’t know exactly why.
