Legendary Pictures Goes Smaller With ‘Quarantine’ Filmmakers In ‘As Above, So Below’

John Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Quarantine, Devil) will co-write As Above, So Below for Legendary Pictures in what amounts to that studio’s first “microbudget” film. John will direct the film and Drew will produce.

Per Variety, “No plot details were given but sources say it would follow two archaeologists in search of a lost treasure in the catacombs below Paris.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see what they come up with here and how Legendary plays in a smaller sandbox. The budget is pegged at between $5 and $10 million, which isn’t “micro” at all. It’s just not “big.”

    Mircobudget?…wasn’t “Poughkeepsie” micro?
Speaking of ‘The Poughkeepsie Tapes’, shouldn’t be officially released by now?

Anyways, always glad to hear talent take up a new project.
    Can’t wait!
