UK ‘Carrie’ Poster Offers A Bloody Variant

The gang over at Empire has a look at the UK poster for MGM and Screen Gems’ Carrie remake. I actually like it a little bit better than the US one, even though it’s nothing new from the campaign really.

In theaters October 18 (in the US, the UK gets is November 29th), the Kimberly Peirce-directed redo is “A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Alex Russell, Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday also star.

Head inside to check it out!

Too much photoshop, you can barely tell that she’s Chloe Grace Moretz.

Other than it, it’s pretty cool.

Not trying to be mean but this movie cannot work. Chloe and Sissy are drastically different, Chloe is hot and Sissy was not. You felt bad for her cause you could believe the idea of cruelty being acted upon her. Not so much with Chloe. But we shall see. I loved this book as a child and I am interested in how they will choose to end the movie as oppose to the original.

    that’s a horrible poster.

  • Zombie-Killa

Looks too tacky, and Moretz doesn’t look like a real person. She looks like a video game character. The one poster with a close-up of Carrie’s bloody eyes with the blood running down her face is the best one so far.

I like the hands and specifically the detail connected to them, but the rest of the poster is kind of bland and boring. The CG in the previews is really getting to me too, and I don’t mind CG.
