[Cannes ’13] Jim Jarmusch’s Vampire Film ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ Joins Lineup

Jim Jarmusch’s crypto-vampire love story Only Lovers Left Alive, which stars Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt and Anton Yelchin, has just been added to the competition lineup for the Cannes Film Festival. It’s Jarmusch’s first entry since Broken Flowers in 2005, per THR.

“Lovers” stars Hiddleston as Adam, an underground musician who’s deeply depressed by the direction of human activities. He reunites with his centuries-long lover, Eve (Swinton), though their idyll is soon interrupted by Eve’s wild and uncontrollable younger sister Ava (Wasikowska).

No word on a US release as of yet.
