Cannes Sales Art For Paul Solet’s Haunter ‘Dark Summer’

Grace director Paul Solet is lined up to direct supernatural horror Dark Summer, based on a screenplay by K-Town web series creator Mike Le, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Billed as a stylized modern ghost story, Dark Summer follows the tale of a 17-year-old on house arrest for the summer. When his mother is away on business, a horrifying incident occurs, followed by an even more terrifying presence in the house.

The movie will be produced by Preferred Film & TV (PFT), a joint venture between Content Media Corporation (CMC) and Preferred Content’s Ross Dinerstein and Kevin Iwashina.

Dinerstein will produce, with Content Film’s Jamie Carmichael executive producing the title.

Production is set to begin in fall 2013.

This is going to have to work hard to beat 100 Feet. That was a solid ghost story and more than decent film.

Dark Shadows (’12), Dark Skies (’13), Dark Summer (’14)…
Horror has been pretty dark lately. 😛

Anyways, I like this poster. Can’t wait to see what the movie looks like.
