DON’T Watch This Shocking Clip From ‘World War Z’!

Screen Shot 2013-05-30 at 11.17.20 AM

I know it’s hard to ignore, but I beg you to avoid watching the following new clip from Paramount Pictures’ World War Z.

The new footage takes us to Philadelphia, PA, where chaos erupts. The clip literally reveals the first major payoff in the film – watching it on your computer is a complete disservice to the film, and frankly, if I were director Marc Forster, I’d be supremely pissed off that this was shared online. Wait for theaters to enjoy this moment, please…

Opening June 21, “The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, and David Morse all star in the epic zombie pic that’s been getting early rave reviews online. Watch for our thoughts soon.

    i watched it

Whoops, I watched it! The thing is, there are some pretty big errors in this scene. When Mr. Pitt steps outside his car, the entire street (including to his cars left/driver side) is stacked with cars. Absolutely packed. There would be no way for that armored car / dump truck to barrel through that many cars before hitting the cop at such a speed. Lol.

NOTHING NEW HAS BEEN SPOILED IN THIS CLIP.

this is isn’t a big deal, Mr.D. this is exactly (pretty much) what they show in the trailers/tv spots. the cop says “get back in your vehicle!!” and then BAAM! he gets hit by the out of control truck. it has an extended opening part where the family is playing that guessing game but that’s it.

also this clip, like all released clips, is heavily edited. it will be better when seen in context and in full.

but, Mr.D, i DO appreciate you warning us of a possible spoiler! :)

djblack1313 hit the nail on the head. I’ve seen this in several tv spots and at least one of the trailers. I will say though Mr. D, the first time I saw this I was a little pissed they ruined the surprise of the moment… but so do 90% of the trailers released these days. I guess the studios need to show most of the best scenes just to pull people in. Too bad most of the time that’s all the movie has going for it. Mystery and a good story can go a long way

I don’t get it Mr. D…are you trying to be sarcastic about the movie or what? I watched and I did not saw nothing epic, cool or clever. So what was the point of this article?

    • djblack1313

Hail2DaKing, you bring up a good point/question. Mr.D are you being sarcastic with this article considering this is the same shot they show in all the trailers?

OMG, I saw the scene again and now I get it. They’re all stuck in traffic and when Brad Pitt exits his car its really tight. There is row of cars right behind his and every little space in between the cars in the lane over. Now when that ambulance mows down the biker cop is going at least 90 mph and not piling up cars that would of been in its way.I know movies expect at times to dispel belief but this is a little too much for this scene anyway.

Not sure where Mr. D is trying to go, but I can’t wait for World War Z!
