Everyone’s been on pins and needles waiting to see if NBC will re-up on Bryan Fuller’s awesome (and expensive) “Hannibal”. Well… they have! Congrats to Mr. Fuller are in full order and I imagine a good deal of you should be happy! More importantly, a few more of you have to watch this thing next year (heck, you can start tonight) for a Season 3 to happen.

You also have a little bit of a wait ahead of you, the new 13 episode order will return no earlier than mid-season of next year. Maybe later. “We’re so proud of Bryan’s vision for a show that is richly textured, psychologically complex, and very compelling,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said. “There are many great stories still to be told.

The Thursday night series explores the early relationship between the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, a young FBI criminal profiler, who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.

Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, and Caroline Dhavernas all star.

I’m happy to see Horror making a come-back on TV, but couldnt get into Hannibal, gave it 4 episodes, just didnt like it or the actors. Loved Bates Motel, always loved Supernatural which gets no respect…

    • ThunderDragoon

Holy crap, I feel the exact same way about everything you said! Thought I was the only one.

      • djblack1313

count me in too guys. SUPERNATURAL gets hardly any respect coverage on horror sites. it’s a travesty considering the show is all about horror and is a quality show (although the quality has dropped a bit in season 8).

Hell yes!!! Supernatural is my favourite show ever! I did get into Hannibal though. I find it to be beautifully written and simply brilliant in all aspects.

3rd. We are not alone. Yay. I gave Hannibal 8 episodes but I literally fall asleep watching it.

DAMN SKIPPY! Here’s to many more seasons of this AWESOME SHOW!

Sweet relief – I feel like I’m on some very mild, weird but strangely comforting hallucinogen when I’m watching Hannibal – I can’t bear the thought of not getting to see the eventual reveal of Hannibal’s true nature in all its glory, I’m expecting it to be spectacular. Mads Mikkelsen has become the definitive Lecter for me now, even if Anthony Hopkins will always be the iconic version (with an honorable mention for Brian Cox, Gaspard Ulliel was okay but he was more just trying to play a young version of the Anthony Hopkins incarnation than give his own take, I thought).

One hope for season two – less serial killers. The artistry of the murder-scenes is always stunning to look at and works within the whole dream-fabric reading of the world of Hannibal which I think this series has absolutely nailed – but honestly, there is so much substance to these characters I think they can afford to deviate from the new-episode, new-killer structure and just delve more into these interactions. Do an episode which is just a whole day in the life of Lecter, that sort of thing.

    Happy day!

lovezoid, i agree Mads is the definitive Lector!!!

      • Kenzo

I agree as well. He’s perfect.

  • Kwonkicker

    FUCK YEAH!!!

  • JArellano13

i was very worried it would get cut off very excited for the second season!

  • Kenzo

Yea! That’s great news! I knew they wouldn’t and the latest episode was awesome! Poor Will.

  • K-Dogg

Sooo very happy about this. So many good tv shows to watch now !!!! Love it.

  • Darkness69

Hallelujah! More Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy to see and enjoy!

The premise had the potential to spawn a really bad show, but Hannibal won me over after the 1st episode. Anyone who hasn’t checked it out, start at the beginning, and enjoy. It’s not like anything else on TV.
