‘The Last Of Us’ Multiplayer Modes Detailed

Last week, Naughty Dog confirmed their upcoming action horror game The Last of Us will be getting a healthy dose of DLC for its single-player and multiplayer modes. Today, they’ve revealed more of the latter. According to The Sixth Axis, the multiplayer is called Factions, and it will bring with it two clan-based modes: Supply Raid and Survivors. More after the break, including a fresh batch of screenshots.

Supply Raid has players scavenging for supplies. When a player on your team dies, that’s taken out of the 20-life limit. In Survivors, when you die, you’re out until the end of the round. “When you select a clan, you’ll get a handful of survivors too. The aim is to play matches over a series of days and weeks (each match represents a day) and get enough supplies out on the battlefield to slowly grow your survivor count. Pretty much everything you do in a battle is translated into supplies, including crafting and healing.”

Unsurprisingly, there will be character customization with features and clothing that need to be unlocked. The game will ship with seven maps, with more to come through DLC.

In related news, there’s an amazing web series based on The Last of Us called What Remains. You can watch the first episode here.
