I highly recommend picking up (or downloading) this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly as it features an extraordinarily cool exclusive look inside the world of Lorraine Warren, the real-life inspiration behind Warner Bros.’ The Conjuring, in theaters July 19 from director James Wan.
With some extreme spoiler warnings attached to this article, and its included images, there’s stunning photography that show what the real Lorraine Warren looks like today, alongside her haunted “Occult Museum”, which is featured in Wan’s movie. Vera Farmiga plays Warren in the film, alongisde Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver and Sterling Jerins.
In yet another spoiler warning, one of the coolest images is of a possessed “Annabelle doll,” which is a featured component in this summer’s blockbuster haunter that tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.
I think a new goal in my life is to visit the museum…
