Visual Effects Work holding Up Alex Aja’s ‘Horns’

Wondering what happened to the Daniel Radcliffe starrer horror film Horns?

Struggling visual-effects studio Newbreed will have to ship out work on the upcoming Alex Aja-directed Horns to another company, TheWrap has learned.

Horns producers Mandalay Pictures and Red Granite Pictures have yet to decide what company will be awarded the additional work.

Newbreed was awarded 200 shots on Horns, and the initial delivery date was pushed from May to July, Lalumiere said.

The horror film centers on a young man (Radcliffe) who wakes up with Horns after his girlfriend dies mysteriously. It is scheduled for release on Oct. 11, 2013.

i was just wondering what happened to this movie! i love Aja and can’t wait to see it!

Hmmm Aja has always been great at practical fx but his digital fx have always been sorely lacking. I hope this movie puts him back in the spotlight. I want another high tension or hills have eyes. Another mirrors or Pirannah would be very disappointing.
