According to The New York Times, the six-issue “Sandman: Overture” series will be joined this fall by five other brand new titles, including: “Hinterkind” by Ian Edginton, “The Discipline” by Peter Milligan, and “The Dead Boy Detectives”. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, Vertigo is rebuilding from the ground up.
Edginton’s “Hinterkind” is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which creatures of myth and legend have returned. Milligan’s “The Discipline” is described as an erotic thriller about a woman at the center of an eons-spanning shadow war. And lastly, “The Dead Boy Detectives” brings back those the two ghostly schoolchildren first introduced in “The Sandman” #25. Full creator lineups and details on the books are not yet official, but with Comic-con International coming up, you can bet Vertigo is planning some big announcements.
