As someone who enters a lot of codes (for reviews and whatnot) on the Xbox 360, wasting crucial minutes laboriously typing in the 25-digit code is time I would much rather spend actually playing the game. With the Xbox One and its now mandatory Kinect peripheral, that will soon become a thing of the past.
Should you ever need to redeem a code on the Xbox One, all you’ll need to do is use the Kinect to scan a QR code to quickly redeem it. Easy.
