Owl, the new band featuring The Cult bassist Chris Wyse, has released an official music video for “Destroyer”, which was originally recorded by The Kinks. Wyse tells Noisecreep, “‘Destroyer’ is a great high energy song that is a ton of fun to play. The Kinks classic felt like an Owl song to us, so it was a perfect fit to cover. The performance clips in the video really capture our personalities and the spirit of the song. We had such a blast shooting it.”
The clip mixes performance footage with a narrative of a guy getting yelled at, slapped, shoved, and more, by a female companion as well as footage of the guy in a giant robot outfit (which looks suspiciously like cardboard).
