[Video Interview] James Wan Talks ‘The Conjuring And Lorraine Warren Reads My Aura!!

The Conjuring is a damn good ghost story. I think it’s easily one of the best supernatural thrillers in years (if not a decade). So it was a real pleasure to sit down with director James Wan (Saw, Insidious) in San Francisco a few weeks back to talk about the film. As an added bonus, Lorraine Warren (a real-life clairvoyant and demonologist played by Vera Farmiga in the film) was also on hand. It was nice to hear her contrast the events of the film with how it down in real life. Also, she kind of read my aura… and you’ll have to watch the video to see what she said.

“The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.” In theaters July 19th, the film stars “Bates Motel’s” Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver and Sterling Jerins.

Very cool to have Lorraine there as well as James Wan. Nice to hear that she feels the movie is an accurate representation of what she experienced – makes me that much more interested in seeing it. Glad to hear you have no demons attached to you @Evan :)

Great interview Evan. I can’t wait to see this movie. Do you think it might be a bit too much for a 10 year old to watch? He has seen the Paranormal Activity movies and Insidious.

Didn’t mean to post twice, first one didn’t show up and I didn’t know if it would.
