First ‘Insidious Chapter 2’ Clip Reflects Back On Debut Film’s Twist!

Haven’t seen Insidious yet? Then don’t bother watching this first ever look at Insidious Chapter 2, in theaters September 13.

FilmDistrict provided Bloody Disgusting with the first ever clip that looks back at the first film’s shocker finale. In it, Renai Lambert (Rose Byrne) recalls the death of Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye), and the police want to know if she believes that her husband, Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson), is innocent.

Directed once again by horror icon James Wan, “The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

As she did in the first Insidious, Oscar-nominated Hershey will play the role of Lorraine Lambert, the mother to Patrick Wilson’s Josh Lambert and the grandmother to the demon-possessed boy Dalton.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
