Kevin Costner Is Starring In the Guillermo del Toro-Produced ‘Midnight Delivery’
Hot off Man of Steel, Kevin Costner is in negotiations to star in Midnight Delivery for Universal Pictures, Deadline reports the week of the San Diego Comic-Con.
Neil Cross, who co-wrote Universal’s Mama and is creator of the BBC series “Luther,” has written the screenplay based on an original idea by Guillermo del Toro.
The logline is being held tight to the vest, but it’s a thriller stemming from an original idea by del Toro, who is producing with David Linde for the latter’s Lava Bear Films. An update at Movieweb says “the story centers on a desperate father who reluctantly becomes a drug mule in order to save the life of his son.”
Gary Ungar and Tory Metzger will serve as executive producers, and Russell Ackerman will co-executive produce.
