Our good friends at Latino-Review, who don’t get enough credit for breaking Marvel scoops correctly, has learned who may play the elusive Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel’s Doctor Strange adaptation.
Says the site, The Dark Knight Rises, Looper and Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, pictured, is at the top of Marvel’s hit-list.
“Now at press time, we are not saying that an offer has been made, that talks have even engaged and who knows, Levitt and his team are probably unaware, BUT we are hearing that Marvel execs internally are discussing that Levitt is who they figure would be ideal,” they explain, making sure to give extreme clarity to the situation.
Being penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, the movie follows “a subtly maimed surgeon finds a new life when a wizard trains him to become the new Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.“
