[Comic-Con ’13] ‘Plants Vs. Zombies’ Heads To Dark Horse

It was really only a matter of time I suppose. Dark Horse Comics is adapting the iconic “Plants Vs. Zombies” video game into a digital comic book series. The series is written by Paul Tobin with art from Ron Chan. It’s hard for me to imagine what the series is actually about, but according to the press release, the six-issue series follows inventor, Crazy Dave, his niece, Patrice, and young adventurer Nate Timely as the try to fight off the recent outbreak of zombies. Obviously, the book is all-ages, so that’s pretty great.

The first two issues are available today online. For the full release schedule, hit the jump.

Chapters 1–2 are on sale tonight, July 17 (SDCC PREVIEW NIGHT)
Chapter 3 goes on sale July 24
Chapter 4 goes on sale July 31
Chapter 5 goes on sale August 7
