Dark Sky Films and writer-director Richard Raaphorst’s Frankenstein’s Army on VOD and in select cities July 26th. We have a brand new clip that resurrects one of Frankenstein’s horrid creations…
Filmed in Prague and recently having its World Premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Frankenstein’s Army marks the feature debut of Dutch director Richard Raaphorst, and has already received high critical acclaim.
“In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying. ”
The highly anticipated film, which recently screened to acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival, is a co-production of MPI/Dark Sky Films, Los Angeles-based XYZ Films and Pellicola of Amsterdam.
