[Comic-Con ’13] Joss Whedon’s ‘Avengers’ Sequel Will Be ‘Age Of Ultron’ #SDCC

Marvel Studios and Joss Whedon surprised fans in Hall H at SDCC last night by unveiling their plans for the much anticipated Avengers film sequel. The official title of the film will be “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” meaning the villain will of course be Ultron. This is probably something we should have picked up on given the recent marvel event by Brian Bendis, “Age of Ultron”. From here on out, it seems like every major Marvel comic book event will inevitably be a movie tie-in of some sort. Check the logo below.

I am psyched for this. Thanos will be a good ultimate climax villain for part 3… but they absolutely needed Ultron in at some point.

$10 bucks that Diesel plays Ultron. My guess is that Thanos manipulates Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver into building the Ultron robot to serve has his bringer of death. When Ultron inevitably fails, it sets the stage for Thanos to bring on death himself. What do you think of my guesses?

@Evan3 I hope Diesel plays Ultron, I think it would be really cool to see him play a major villain. He deserves it.

As for the plot, I’m hoping Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver don’t blow it so hard!
