Waxwork Records, the company behind the upcoming Re-Animator soundtrack reissue as well as the recently mentioned Day Of The Dead soundtrack, have announced their latest acquisition, which is none other than Krzysztof Komeda’s classic score for Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby. Starring Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes, the movie tells the tale of the Woodhouse’s, a couple who move into a new apartment and become mysteriously pregnant. Strange neighbors and odd occurrences only add to the unsettling feeling that Rosemary feels. Komeda passed away on April 23rd, 1969, just four days shy of his 38th birthday.
Waxwork Records will be reissuing the remixed, restored, and re-mastered vinyl later this year using the original source master tapes. The mastering will be done by former White Zombie guitarist J. Yuenger. The full album art will be created by Jay Shaw (Ironjaiden).
