The indie game Viscera Cleanup Detail answers a question that’s been burning in the back of my mind ever since my initial playthrough of the original Dead Space, way back in 2008. That question is “Who’s going to clean all this up?” By the time I was through with it, the USG Ishimura looked significantly worse than it did when I crash-landed on it twelve hours prior. Thankfully, there’s now a game that answers this burning question, and now said game has co-op.
In Viscera Cleanup Detail your sole mission is to go about a spaceship, cleaning up the viscera left by a particularly brutal massacre. See it in action after the jump.
What was already a fantastic idea has now become even more so. The latest update to the game added cooperative multiplayer, undoubtedly to make the daunting task of cleaning up all that viscera just a wee bit easier to swallow. You can download the alpha, now with added co-op, here.
If cleaning up the red squishy bits sounds like your cup of tea, you can — and should — support Visceran Cleanup Detail on Steam Greenlight.
