While The Pixies may have already released a music video for their new single “Bagboy”, the band decided that one just wasn’t good enough. Today, the group released a new video which you can watch below (courtesy of RollingStone). Directed by Kestrel Media, the highly surreal video is, according to guitarist/singer Black Francis, “…really in keeping with Vaughn Oliver’s artwork and character of ‘Bagboy.’“.
Francis adds, “We didn’t set out to have two music videos for ‘Bagboy,’ but once we saw both of these, we knew we didn’t want to use just one. They’re so good, so creative, and each in its own way, and both made by up-and-coming filmmakers. And look, who says you can’t have two videos for a song that show two completely different perspectives? Not us.”
Head on below to watch the video and head on over here to purchase the song.
