Good News About That ‘Mummy’ Remake…

The_Mummy

Sources tell Variety that director Len Wiseman has fallen off Universal’s The Mummy reboot due to scheduling conflicts. This is awesome news.

They’re told he has been devoting increasing time to his Fox TV series “Sleepy Hollow,” which is where he should stay devoted for the rest of his career to avoid more garbage like Total Recall, Live Free or Die Hard and Underworld. I know it’s harsh, but he has no idea what “character development” is. I hate his movies.

Sean Daniels, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing, and should consider themselves lucky to have avoided a probable atrocity.

Jon Spaihts wrote the script and the studio still sees the film as a top priority given the popularity of the previous franchise starring Brendan Fraser.

You can get mad @ me again…I really like ‘Underworld’.

i fucking love the UNDERWORLD movies!! i still want a proper ending to that franchise with a Kate/Selene led UNDERWORLD 5 (they leave part 4 on such a cliffhanger).

Len is very talented. i think this is good he’s not doing this. he should do something original.

LOL! Like you know anything about character development, especially after looking at some of the shit you like. Harold and Kumar? South Park The Moive? LOL! Your TV selections are garbage as well, no disrespect.

The fact that you think this film is now going to be worth a damn just shows how delusional you are. You’re also clueless. Underworld was quite good. Live Free Or Die Hard was damn good, despite the studio forcing a PG-13 rating, and it got very good critical reception.

His Hawaii Five-O pilot was also very good, and he launched that into a huge hit.

This film is going to suck and it’s going to do very poorly. Wiseman got the better of this deal by a country mile. He made a smart decision to stay away from this train wreck. He should have stayed away from Total Recall. Besides, I doubt Len Wiseman gives a damn about the opinion of some internet blogger. He goes to bed every night with Kate Beckinsale, he’s very wealthy, and he works on feature films and high profile TV projects. What have you done lately and who are you sleeping with?
