The ‘Fright Night 2’ Trailer Has Leaked!

Charley Brewster’s vampire troubles continue when Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment releases Fright Night 2: New Blood on Blu-ray and DVD October 1.

With our “fan favorite” art contest underway, Bloody Disgusting reader Frankie Smales has tipped us off to the leaked trailer for the hotly anticipated home video sequel. It actually looks pretty fun…

Directed by Eduardo Rodriguez, the sequel to the 2011 reboot introduces “Dexter” star Jaime Murray as Gerri (who looks crazy hot in the film), who is Charlie (Will Payne) and his horror obsessed friend “Evil” Ed’s (Chris Waller) young attractive professor. When the new villainess vamp turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, who’s blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.

What a joke… Same thing as the original and remake.

    • Ravinus

Exactly. Just switching out a lead male vampire for a female one.

    • Krug09

Yeah… I just do not understand the love for the original. I respect the fans but jesus that movie sucked. To me at least.

i’m in. Jaime Murray looks fucking badass!!! it feels odd to have such a HUGE crush on her!! LOL. this looks like fun and i was never a big fan of the original FN2 (i love the original FN1 though!).

You’re never ending positivity is something to be admired my friend.

I’ll watch it (probably buy it, because I know I’m going to kick myself, if I don’t add it to my collection over the years), and I agree Murray is easily the highlight of the trailer.

And holy shit, I just picked up on the pun/play on words with Murray’s name. **goes to the corner to put his head down** lol.

Gerri Dandridge is a play on words for Jerry Dandridge. Kind of similar to Chris Sarandon’s cameo in the remake, when his character went by Jay Dee, initials Jerry Dandridge

Zombie-Killa, right back at you! you’ve always been really nice to me and you’re always fun to talk to/read post from!

and even though i got the Jerry/Gerri name thing i think it’s really funny and sweet you just realized the play on the name (i don’t mean that in a sarcastic/mean way!).

    This looks awful…

  • GrimDingo

Wait, so is this a sequel or another remake? Its 2…but it has nothing from the last one that I can tell…the fuck…

  • devilmaycry26

so this is the sequel to the 1st remake but yet the actors from the 1st remake isn’t gonna be in it to continue the story like in the original. n i find it funny is that only reason why some of you are going to see it is because of the actress in it. ooooook. i’ll stick to the 2 originals n the 1st remake since this is pretty much a mess waiting to happen

i’m lost… wasn’t evil ed already turned and killed in the remake? not that I really care that much or expect it to be better than a syfy original, but why try to market this as a sequel?

  • Nightflyre9

Personally, I wasn’t expecting FN2 to re-invent the wheel, so I’m pretty satisfied with what the trailer promises: a fun, bloody vampire popcorn movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously or try to be everything to everybody. Looking forward to it.

    • djblack1313

@Nightflyre9, do i even need to say i agree w/ you 100000%??? LOL. you KNOW i do! 🙂

it’s nice to see you here my friend!! are you stil enjoying that Happy Birthday To Me disco tune? lol. scarily enough i actually DO listen to the short part that was in the movie (i put it in MP3 format on my Ipod! LOL).

    Remember The Howling Part II?

  • EvilHead1981

Damn, this looks like crap. Would it have hurt them to at least do something SLIGHTY different with the story. I mean, the original Fright Night 2, paling by comparison to the first, still did something original while keeping some themes the same. This one is just a full on reboot of the remake, just with different versions of the characters. Why not just do something totally different. Set it in the “Fright Night” universe but with different characters and a different vampire?
