Unfortunately, the DayZ standalone alpha isn’t quite ready for release. There are still some bugs to be squashed and server issues to be remedied. In a new developer diary, narrated by DayZ designer Dean Hall, he sheds some light on the alpha’s progress, saying “The build is not ready for release… Until we cover off on the very basic foundations of it, there’s just nothing there to play, nothing there to really enjoy.”
A majority of the video is devoted to showing off the multiplayer, which looks to be shaping up nicely. Check it out after the break.
