Universal Hopes To Move Us Into ‘The Loft’ Come 2014…

Produced by Dark Castle, the long, long, long delayed The Loft, Erik Van Looy’s English-language remake of his own 2008 Belgian film, is finally getting released. Only, it’s not coming out for another year!

Universal Pictures has set an August 29, 2014 date for the Hitchcockian thriller starring Karl Urban (Riddick, Star Trek Into Darkness) and James Marsden (X-Men, The Box, 2 Guns), as well as Isabel Lucas, Patrick Wilson, Wentworth Miller, Eric Stonestreet, and Rachael Taylor.

The pic follows five married friends who share a loft where each of them bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they begin to suspect one another of murder.
