A&E’s “Bates Motel” has been teasing a love interest for Norman Bates for this upcoming season, and now we get to meet her. Paloma Kwiatkowski (Percy Jackson: The Sea Of Monsters) will play Cody Brennan. Per Deadline she’s “a small town party girl who befriends Norman (Freddie Highmore) and bonds with him, showing him how having fun and “acting out” can sublimate pain – at least for awhile.”
She joins recent Season 2 casting additions Michael Eklund, Rebecca Creskoff, Kenny Johnson and Michael Vartan. Of course Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga will be returning as Norman and Norma Bates.
“A modern re-imagining and prequel to the movie Psycho (1960), this story begins with the earlier years of a teenage Norman Bates and his mother Norma who live in an old house overlooking the adjoining motel which they are renovating. The house and hotel both come with secrets of their own as does the new town which the Bates’ now call home.“
