One night a year, all crime is legal and no one is safe in The Purge, said to be a thought-provoking thriller from director and writer James DeMonaco (Assault on Precinct 13, The Negotiator) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister). Starring Ethan Hawke (Sinister, Training Day) and Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones”) as a husband and wife engulfed in the madness of a lawless night, The Purge will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack with DVD, Digital including UltraViolet, and On Demand on October 8, 2013, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

In a future America, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period, The Purge, in which any and all criminal activity, including murder, is legal. On this night, one family is tested to see how far they will go to protect themselves when the vicious outside world breaks into their home.
