In ‘Stranded Deep’ You’re Lost At Sea And Surrounded By Sharks

Somehow I hadn’t heard of Stranded Deep until it was green-lit on Steam. Thankfully, I’m fully aware of it now, and now I’d very much like to share my new-found knowledge of this exciting indie horror game with you.

In Stranded Deep, you’re placed in the undoubtedly soggy shoes of a plane crash survivor, who finds themselves lost at sea. You’ll need to scavenge to survive while keeping mindful of the dangers that lurk above and below the ocean’s surface. The game will feature a procedurally generated world, so each time you play offers a unique experience. If you like your gaming experiences immersive, this will support the Oculus Rift.

If Stranded Deep sounds as terrifying to you as it does to me, you can follow it on Steam Greenlight.

This sounds soo awesome. I love watching I Shouldnt Be Alive, and my favorite eps are those of people surviving out at sea. I’d love to play this right now

I like watching it in movies, but just seems like it would get very repetitive.

      My thoughts exactly.

I’m sorry but this game looks like it would be interesting for maybe 10 mins. Swim towards something, quick, swim back. A shark doing a circle around your raft the whole time doesn’t seem interesting or even remotely realistic. I’m all for new ideas for games(especially horror/survival types), but this just looks flat and boring.

I’m pretty sure this is old Stranded engine, and it looks so awful :(
Realy, there’s not so much fun to be Stranded on island – several days of gaming, and never come back to it.
But how long can take fun being on boat in ocean with shark, patroling around? Meh…
