This should come as a surprise to no one, but in a Reddit Ask Me Anything, Deep Silver creative director Guido Eickmeyer confirmed there will be more Dead Island after Dead Island: Epidemic.
After a fan asked about the future of the main series or if there’s any DLC for Riptide coming up, Eickmeyer responded by saying “For now, I can only ask you to wait a bit further, then some really nice things will be revealed about the future of Dead Island.” It sounds like we may be hearing more about a potential third game — not including Epidemic, which is more of a spin-off — in the near future. He also shot down the rumored title of the next installment, a “true” sequel to the original game, that was rumored to be titled Dead World.
“I would not expect it to be named Dead World, because Dead Island will remain Dead Island.” All right, then.
