I’m almost as big of a fan of the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise as I am of Friday the 13th. It’s sort of strange, since I think NOES and Dream Warriors are easily better than any one F13 entry, but there’s something about the later installments of the franchise that keep me at arms length.
However, there’s no denying that Freddy got in some great, imaginative kills during his time. Many of them were genius, with great set-ups and payoffs that could only be achieved in the dream world that was the sandbox for the films. YouTube user TheSpringwoodSlasher has put together a compilation of Freddy’s kills that take us all the way from the first installment to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. It’s a cool supercut that actually achieves a decent rhythm despite its super short running time.
