[OMFG] Over An Hour Of Lost ‘The Night Flier’ Footage!

An anonymous tipster pointed us to a YouTube page created by none other than “Dwight Renfield”, the character in the 1997 Stephen King adaptation The Night Flier.

The video below shares over an hour of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from the Mark Pavia-directed film that follows a reporter on the trail of a vampiric murderer who travels by plane.

The anonymous released said footage in hopes of getting fans to sign a petition demanding a Blu-ray release. It never hurts to try…

I haven’t seen it recently so I dont know how it holds up today. However, I remember seeing it for the first time when I was younger and it scarred the living hell out of me. I was scared of the dark, planes, etc. There’s one scene in particular I remember sending chills down my spine and I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night. I believe it was the movie’s eerie cinematography, but again I haven’t seen it in years so what scared me then might be corny now.

i own this film on dvd but havnt seen it in probably over a decade or so..however i remember it being a decent film and liking Miguel Ferrera as the sleaze journo who seems to be one step behind the vampire going by the name Renfield…im gonna have to revisit it to see if it holds up….

DJBlack, what’s up!? This is one of my favorite vampire movies. It has more of an independent/low-budget feel, but it’s actually scary and mysterious, which is something that can’t be said for a lot of vampire movies. The only thing that sucks is that the main antagonist’s face is plastered everywhere, when in the movie his appearance is meant as a surprise! Even the damn DVD cover spoils it! Anyway, knowing your tastes a bit, I think you’ll get a kick out of this film.

hey there Nightflyre9!!!! i’m going to check this movie out!

    • I watched this as a kid and was really good, watched it last week on DVD and most of it held up (couldve been a lot of nostalgia), but it is definitely worth renting to see if you’d enjoy it.

This is one of the movies I put on my top 10 underrated horror films of the 90’s. I would love to see a Blu-ray release. This footage is great.

A bluray release would be nice. I’ve always liked this movie and the vampire is among the best. The last few scenes really creep me out
