[Gamescom 2013] It’s Batman Against The World In This New ‘Arkham Origins’ Trailer

Before the Dark Knight narrowly escaped the Joker in Arkham Asylum he made a lot of enemies. In Batman: Arkham Origins, which serves as a prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, the Caped Crusader has roughly a thousand villains coming after him, including the Joker, Firefly, Bane, Copperhead and Deathstroke.

You can see all of the above, including a bevy of batpunches and leaping batkicks in the new trailer that released today. Read on to check it out (unfortunately, you’ll have to add your own POW! and SHAZAM! during the fight scenes).

Batman: Arkham Origins releases on the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U on October 25th.

I cannot wait for this! However, my expectations are so high after Arkham city that I might be disappointed! Still though the Arkham games are for me among the best games I have ever played 🙂

Arkham City was fantastic, and I’ll admit I’m a little nervous too. Historically, prequels tend to be a little underwhelming — especially recently, with Gears of War: Judgment and God of War: Ascension — and the developer, Rocksteady, isn’t the studio that’s making this game.

I’m sure it’ll be fun, but I doubt it will be on the same level as Arkham City.

My thoughts on this Adam!Additionally, Paul Dini is not behing the script so it could turn average. Having said that, the story is intriguing and the whole concept of taking place in Christmas awesome (I love Christmas). I am going to spend days and days with this one. Have you played it yet?
