When Left 4 Dead was first unveiled Louis, Francis, Zoey and Bill looked a tad bit different from what they do today. Louis didn’t have his partially untucked shirt, Francis looked significantly… homelier, Zoey had a tightly bandaged arm and Bill looked even more badass than he does now, if you can believe it. Tweaking a character’s design is nothing new, it happens all the time in video game development. Characters change over time as a series evolves, or even during the time between a game’s announcement and its release.
If you’re feeling a little nostalgic for the good old days, before people complained when Left 4 Dead 2 came too soon and complained again when Left 4 Dead 3 took too long, then this is for you. You can find the original original cast of Left 4 Dead in the Steam Workshop.
