Fox just released a large batch of hi-res images from the Len Wiseman-directed pilot of “Sleepy Hollow”.

After being resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) finds himself in modern-day Sleepy Hollow, where he quickly realizes that evil has awoken with him. When Sheriff August Corbin (guest star Clancy Brown) is killed by the infamous Headless Horseman, Ichabod forms an unlikely bond with Detective Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), a young cop who has her own childhood supernatural experiences. Together, the two embark on a mission to stop evil and uncover mysteries dating back to the founding of our country. Captain Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) hesitates to believe Ichabod’s tales of supernatural evil. But when Ichabod’s former wife, Katrina (Katia Winter), provides clues about impending evil, they all begin to realize that this town is anything but sleepy in the all-new “Pilot” series premiere episode of “Sleepy Hollow”.

The pilot airs Monday, Sept. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Remember that Family Guy episode, where Peter runs off the list of canceled shows on FOX at the beginning? I think it was Family Guy’s first episode back in a long time, but it just goes to show you the graveyard of cancelled shows on FOX. When it comes to shows, there are two networks that I have no faith in: CBS and FOX. And speaking of CBS, I wish they would get rid of Under The Dome. I tried to hang on, but I gave up after four episodes. Bland, Bland generic writing and too many cliched, stupid, and annoying characters.

I REALLY want to see this show, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it got canned soon enough.

The show might be fine if they didn’t start giving the headless horseman machine guns and modern weapons. It just looks so ridiculous and overthetop. They should have dumped the time traveling silliness as well and just had the horseman return to modern times. Maybe even have flashbacks/parallel stories of him back in the 1800s, while the modern characters discovered what he was and why he was back.

Well, to be fair he picks up the guns in that scene and uses them, but it does look pretty badass. Personally, I think it fits completely in line with a soldier who would use all available weapons at his disposal.

“They should have dumped the time traveling silliness as well and just had the horseman return to modern times.”

Ichabod doesn’t ‘timetravel’, he’s placed into ‘stasis’ as such and simply waits until modern day.
