UK Release Details, Awesome New Stills For ‘V/H/S/2’!!

Koch Media has announced that our horror anthology V/H/S/2 will be released in selected UK cinemas and on DVD/VOD October 14, 2013. The film will arrive on home video here in the States on September 24.

“Following on from the hugely successful and critically acclaimed V/H/S comes a sequel of even greater ingenuity with its momentous thrills and game-changing photography! Featuring a roster of talented directors at the very top of their game – including Adam Wingard (You’re Next), Gareth Evans (The Raid), Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun) and Eduardo Sánchez (The Blair Witch Project) – V/H/S/2 undeniably breathes new life into the horror genre with such originality that it’ll leave you rewinding the scares time and time again!”

Inside a darkened house looms a column of TVs littered with VHS tapes, a pagan shrine to forgotten analog gods. The screens crackle and pop endlessly with monochrome vistas of static—white noise permeating the brain and fogging concentration. But you must fight the urge to relax: this is no mere movie night. Those obsolete spools contain more than just magnetic tape. They are imprinted with the very soul of evil. From the demented minds that brought you last year’s V/H/S comes V/H/S/2, an all-new anthology of dread, madness, and gore. This follow-up ventures even further down the demented path blazed by its predecessor, discovering new and terrifying territory in the genre. This is modern horror at its most inventive, shrewdly subverting our expectations about viral videos in ways that are just as satisfying as they are sadistic. The result is the rarest of all tapes—a second generation with no loss of quality.

I enjoyed VHS 2 better than the first but that Asian story was awful and nearly killed it for me.

Am I the only one who can’t figure out how the hell this movie got a sequel? I tried, really tried to get through the first one with my partner a couple weeks ago hoping for a good horror movie night…we watched the first hour or so, it was just ridiculous! Does it have an amazing ending that makes it a good movie? I felt like I wasted my Saturday night watching it! Does it get better after the first 3 videos? Ended up fast forwarding the third one because it’s just not worth it.

To be honest, with all the hype from this website (I use this website as a guide to horror movies) about this movie, I actually thought it would be great, but was severely disappointed. Although I understand why there was so much hype on this website about this movie, because the logo was in it. I just feel like I’ve lost trust in this website now.
