After creating worlds filled with dragons and demi-gods, “Game of Thrones” and Thor: The Dark World helmer Alan Taylor looks ready to enter the world of cyborgs.

Sources tell Variety that Taylor is in talks to direct the rebooted The Terminator film for Skydance Productions, Paramount and Annapurna Pictures. I personally have no emotions towards this news as I have yet to see Thor, which I hope gets me excited for this new trilogy.

In theaters June 26, 2015, plot details have not been revealed other than this is the first film in a stand alone trilogy. It is still unknown at this time what part Arnold Schwarzenegger will have in the film, though he has said in past interviews he will be back for the film.

Skydance and Annapurna will co-finance along with the studio with David Ellison producing for Skydance and Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script.

Arnold in a Terminator film = me purchasing a ticket. I’ll be there.

They should keep Arnold out of it. Always seems weird they chose his figure as a droid thats meant to infiltrate bases. lol. New terminators actors, have it about multiple people going back in time or set during the war or battle Saving Private Ryan style? I hate the idea of it being a reboot as the first 2 movies were great.
